Friday: The Vines Concert
The Vines rawks! I was a little disappointed as they played quite a short set and I was expecting 2 encores as a result... Instead, at the end of da first encore, Craig Nicholls (the singer) did a classic Craig - fell down on the floor, grabbed da mic stand, got back up jumped on top of the drums and started smashing everything up... Hmm... guess dat's the end of da show...
I was also disappointed dat Craig hardly talked much... I would have liked to hear him speak more but then again he was fuct off his face and his speech was so slurred it was difficult to understand what he was saying at all! He just kept mumbling very fast "Thank you thank you thank you..." over and over again throughout da set... He's such a character... He looked like he was more likely to be on speed than his usual publicised pot smoking habit!
Nonetheless, the show was absolutely awesome! Craig was such an energetic psycho but yet he manages to calm down during songs and sings so beautifully! Behind his well publicised wild behaviour is a very talented musician and those who have not really heard much of The Vines, should really check them out! He acts like such a brat through antics such as locking himself in the bathroom for 3 hours to get out of an interview, throwing temper tantrums and rolling around on the floor screaming and swearing, trashing hotel rooms and breaking things - but hey he's a rock star what do you expect?!
I personally think he's such a babe! I love psycho guys who are difficult to understand...
Aussie guys are hot!

(BTW Their current album Winning Days has got to be one of my fave album covers of all time!)
Saturday: Bad Religion Concert
Bad Religion had been my fave punk band of all time! Don't get offended by their name, they are purely trying to express their atheism believes. This legendary punk band had been around for over 20 years and have put out 10000 albums or somn' like dat, I'm exaggerating I hope you all detect that... (even Greg Graffin, the singer had mentioned during the show that they've got like 15 thousand songs to choose from to play hahaha)
This band is probably less heard of commercially to most of you but hey, it's definitely not for everyone... But anyone who listens to punk would certainly know about Bad Religion! The show ranged from very young kids to people who are quite old... Guess it's cuz they've been around since 1980 so the age of their fan base should be quite wide... Regardless of ages, everyone was very energetic! I had so much fun as they played a lot of the old songs dat I grew up to... Although I dun know any of their new songs, it was still exciting to see them perform.
Unfortunately, couldn't say the same for poor Nick who had accompanied me to the concert. He just simply got shoved, pushed, beer spilled on (it got me too all down my back!), and surrounded by sweaty people! Like I said before, it's not for everyone... If you know their songs well like I do, it's SO much fun!
Well, dat was my fun filled weekend! I had the best time! I can't wait to see The Vines again if they ever tour again in London... But the next band I definitely have to see is The Strokes, hopefully I'll have the chance!
